LONDON BOMBINGS UNDER THE RADAR
JULY 12, 2005. A couple of days ago, I reprinted an excerpt from an article
written by Alex Jones and Paul Watson, and posted at prisonplanet.com.
This article highlighted and analyzed an interview (July7) on BBC Radio 5, the
Drive show. The man interviewed, Peter Power, is a consultant for a firm, Visor
Consultants. Visor does much security work on contract. Power stated that his,
yes, mock terror drills were taking place at several of the sames times and
places as the actual bombings, and his people suddenly realized it as they were
doing their mock work on the morning of the bombings.
The implications of Power's statements were dazzling, to say the least, and
since then I have received queries about whether this radio interview really
took place. I can understand people's shock and doubt, because the import of
Power's remarks opens up a whole new direction in the research of the bombing
attack.
As Jones and Watson pointed out in their article, the mock-drill-
versus-real-event mirrored what happened in the US on 9/11, when mock air
attacks were being conducted as the real thing took place.
First, I want to print an answer to my query I just received from BBC Radio
Five:

So, in case there were any lingering doubts left in truly boggled minds, yes,
the interview did of course take place. Jones/Watson picked up on it and
reported it. Their piece has now been reprinted on a number of sites.
I decided to try to contact Peter Power. I sent an email to Visor consultants,
and I received an answer. It comes from Mr. Power, although, as you'll see, it
is a standard message that is being sent out by him to all the people who are
flooding his email box with questions.
"Thank you for your message. Given the volume of emails about events on 7 July
and a commonly expressed misguided belief that our exercise revealed prescient
behaviour, or was somehow a conspiracy (noting that several websites interpreted
our work that day in an inaccurate / naive / ignorant / hostile manner) it has
been decided to issue a single email response as follows: It is confirmed that a
short number of 'walk through' scenarios planed [sic] well in advance had
commenced that morning for a private company in London (as part of a wider
project that remains confidential) and that two scenarios related directly to
terrorist bombs at the same time as the ones that actually detonated with such
tragic results. One scenario in particular, was very similar to real time
events.
"However, anyone with knowledge about such ongoing threats to our capital city
will be aware that (a) the emergency services have already practiced several of
their own exercises based on bombs in the underground system (also reported by
the main news channels) and (b) a few months ago the BBC broadcast a similar
documentary on the same theme, although with much worse consequences [??]. It is
hardly surprising therefore, that we chose a feasible scenario - but the timing
and script was nonetheless, a little disconcerting.
"In short, our exercise (which involved just a few people as crisis managers
actually responding to a simulated series of activities involving, on paper,
1000 staff) quickly became the real thing and the players that morning responded
very well indeed to the sudden reality of events.
"Beyond this no further comment will be made and based on the extraordinary
number of messages from ill informed people, no replies will henceforth be given
to anyone unable to demonstrate a bona fide reason for asking (e.g. accredited
journalist / academic).

If you go back and read what Power said to host Allen in his BBC interview,
Power was a lot more shocked himself at the time.
Obviously, Power, in his email, is trying to downplay the significance of the
mock-versus-real events.
It's clear that the simultaneous staging of mock drills and the emergence of
real events in the same times and places could confuse law enforcement, delay
response, and also, as Jones/Watson point out, create a possible cover story for
persons in the midst of planting real bombs ("I'm part of an exercise.").
I have received and seen several reports from people who were in and about in
London as the bombings were taking place. One person, unnamed, states that he
saw underground stations along one line shut down by many police BEFORE the
bombings occurred. Another observer notes that additional bombs were reported by
the press, early on, as DIFFUSED before they went off. And as I've written, the
story of how many bombs there were and when they went off was changed several
times in press reports---7-8 explosions were reduced to 4.
Bombs diffused before the explosions began (unless these were mock bombs---see
how a cover story could work?)) implies foreknowledge of some kind on the part
of law enforcement, and of course we have several press stories that indicate
the Israeli embassy in London (but no one else?) was actually warned before the
first explosion.
Visor consultants has probably received emails accusing them of being in on a
bomb plot. Whereas, it would be easy for the ops managers of the real thing to
USE the Visor mock drills as a distraction/cover for a short time that morning.
In any case, it will take a great deal more digging to sort out who was using
whom.
Note that most of what is in this article has received NO follow-up from the
mainstream press. If you were a reporter in London, wouldn't you, for example,
jump in with both feet and talk to Peter Power in depth and find out exactly how
his drills interacted with the real thing?

This is an extraordinary story which has not made an appearance in the print
media. If the interviewee, a former Scotland Yard official, is telling the
truth, it would not be a coincidence and would seem to make it clear that either
his company was penetrated by whoever planned the actual bombing or the company
was used as a cover for carrying out the attacks. What is not explained in the
interview portions that I heard is the whereabouts of Power's employees at the
time of the attacks and what records or filming they were making of the
exercise.

A consultancy agency with government and police connections was running an
exercise for an unnamed company that revolved around the London Underground
being bombed at the exact same times and locations as happened in real life on
the morning of July 7th.
On a BBC Radio 5 interview that aired on the evening of the 7th, the host
interviewed Peter Power, Managing Director of Visor Consultants

management' advice company, better known to you and I as a PR firm.
Peter Power was a former Scotland Yard official, working at one time with the
Anti Terrorist Branch.
Power told the host that at the exact same time that the London bombings were
taking place, his company was running a 1,000 person strong exercise which
drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations, at the
exact same times, as happened in real life.
The transcript is as follows.
POWER: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a
company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going
off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still
have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now.
HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you
would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?
POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this
for a company and for obvious reasons I don't want to reveal their name but
they're listening and they'll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers
for the first time they'd met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid
decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of
activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time
thinking and so on.

The fact that the exercise mirrored the exact locations and times of the
bombings is light years beyond a coincidence. Power said the drill focused
around 'simultaneous bombings'. At first the bombings were thought to have been
spread over an hour, but the BBC reports

fact simultaneous.
Mr. Power (pictured above) and Visor Consultants need not have been 'in on the
bombing' or anything of that nature for this to be of importance. The British
government or one of their private company offshoots could have hired Visor to
run the exercise for a number of purposes.
We are not suggesting that Mr. Power had any knowledge of the real purpose of
the exercise, and the open shock he exclaims in relating the story underlines
this.
The exercise fulfils several different goals. It acts as a cover for the small
compartamentalized government terrorists to carry out their operation without
the larger security services becoming aware of what they're doing, and, more
importantly, if they get caught during the attack or after with any
incriminating evidence they can just claim that they were just taking part in
the exercise.
This is precisely what happened on the morning of 9/11/2001. The CIA was
conducting drills

flying hijacked planes into the WTC and Pentagon at 8:30 in the morning.
It is clear that at least five if not six training exercises were in operation
in the days leading up to and on the morning of 9/11. This meant that NORAD
radar screens showed as many as 22 hijacked airliners at the same time. NORAD
had been briefed that this was part of the exercise drill and therefore normal
reactive procedure was forestalled and delayed.
The large numbers of 'blips' on NORAD screens that displayed both real and
'drill' hijacked planes explain why confused press reports emerged hours after
the attack stating that up to eight planes had been hijacked.
The Anglo-American establishment that controls the military-industrial complex
of the West has been caught over a hundred times carrying out bombings and other
terrorist attacks around the world to further their corporate aims and to blame
their enemies.
The US government has been caught planning to carry out attacks and carrying out
attacks. The British government has been caught red-handed as well. Members of
Vladimir Putin's FSB were caught planting bombs

This is not speculation. Kermit Roosevelt admited on NPR radio that in 1953 the
CIA and British intelligence carried out a wave of bombings and shootings in

went on to brag about how they subsequently blamed the bombings on Iran's
President, Mossadegh. Do you understand, these people brag about what they do 40
years later?
The London bombings have the same signature as the Madrild bombings of 3/11.
Both of these bombings are almost indistinguishable from the Bolognia bombing in
1980 that killed over 80 people.
The bombing in Bolognia was part of a CIA operation code named Gladio

blamed on leftists in Europe. All of this was blown wide open when two of the
Bolognia bombers were convited in an Italian court, forcing them to spill their

The London terror alert level was lowered

bombings took place. This gave the purpotrators extra cover to plan and execute
the attack without having to evade the most stringent security.
In any crime you look at history and motive, The British government has been
caught in multiple examples of carrying out bombings in London which were then

selected patsies designated to take the fall. But for the moment he's happy to
grandstand as the courageous leader who immedately returned to London to take
control of the chaos.
BBC polls that were showing 80 per cent plus opposed the ID card

The Madrid train bombing is another example. The bombers were found to be police

links to the Spanish security services

access to the most secure areas of the Madrid train system. The Spanish
government initially tried to blaim the Basque group ETA for the blast in the
hope that the people would rally behind the government and get them re-elected.
After ETA denied involvement and the people started saying the government was
involved, the Spanish government had to blame Al-Qaeda and kill some patsies by
claiming they blew themselves up during a raid.
The London Underground exercises were used as the fallback cover to carry out
the attack. This is the biggest smoking gun yet pointing directly to the most
secretive levels of the British establishment itself being behind the attack.

Radio host, Alex Jones is spreading misleading, false and overblown claims
linking Peter Power, a crisis management consultant and former member of
Britain's anti-terror police to a "terorism drill" which Jones alleges was used
to provide cover for State perpetrators of the multiple blasts.
The wild allegations leave others presenting so-called "conspiracy theories"
about these attacks open to ridicule --because of false claims by the most
reknowned radio show on these topics.
The weekend article by Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones was published on the
PrisonPlanet.com website.
They claim that in a BBC Radio 5 interview on July 7th, Peter Power admitted
that his Visor Consulting firm: "was running a 1,000 person strong exercise
which drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations,
at the exact same times, as happened in real life."
The article goes on to claim that the Visor Consulting drill: "acts as a cover
for the small compartamentalized government terrorists to carry out their
operation without the larger security services becoming aware of what they're
doing, and, more importantly, if they get caught during the attack or after with
any incriminating evidence they can just claim that they were just taking part
in the exercise."
Jones and Watson then equated this drill with drills reported to have taken
place on the morning of 9/11/2001. They wrote: "The CIA was conducting drills of
flying hijacked planes into the WTC and Pentagon at 8:30 in the morning. It is
clear that at least five if not six training exercises were in operation in the
days leading up to and on the morning of 9/11."
The article gives the clear impression that up to 1,000 personnel were involved
in a London drill -including field agents who were active in the London
Underground and providing cover for those planting the bombs.
That couldn't be more wrong.
In fact, Power's consultancy firm was running a small "corporate wargame" drill
for the management team of a British company with 1,000 employees. Here's the
BBC transcript of the interview Power gave [our emphasis]:
POWER: "At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for
a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going
off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still
have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now." [mp3 Audio]
Clearly, the figure of 1,000 refers to the size of the company whose managers
were being drilled - and not to the number of participants in the drill.
Furthermore, any savvy investigator knows that these types of private- sector
"risk management" drills never use field staff. Neither do these low-level
corporate drills have active involvement of police or other security forces.
Despite Jones and Watson's claims, this drill was in no way comparable to U.S.
drills and wargames on 9/11 - which were being run by active-duty security
forces in the U.S. military, federal agencies, the FAA and various emergency
services.
The London corporate drill was just a glorified administration seminar where
managers get to use security buzzwords -- while seated around an office table
guessing how they would respond to loss of available staff for call centers,
power outages, or travel restrictions, etc..
Bear in mind that Peter Power was doing a bit of hyping too, playing up the idea
that his firm was so well attuned that it was running a terror drill about bombs
at "precisely at the railway stations where it happened." But in a seperate,
simpering TV interview [Video Mplayer] Power admits that their exercise also
included mainline rail targets as well as the Underground. His firm runs these
terror seminars frequently.
Anyway, any half-competent drill would predictably be based on attacks on
central London Underground stations. Duuuh! Probably some of these overlapped
with the actual targets.
There is much to indicate that the official version of the London bombings is
not the real story -but this tale about a co-incident terror drill is going
nowhere on the current evidence.
It a close call between Power and Jones as to who squeezed the most hype out of
all this.
TINFOIL HAT FODDER
At the very least this has been a catastrophic error by Alex Jones and Paul
Watson, sure to reflect badly on Jones' reputation.
Even more important, it will inevitably be used to laugh off critics of the
official line on both the 9/11 attacks and the London bombings. The article
turns all skeptics into tinfoil hat fodder.
Some of these skeptics will see this article by Alex Jones as part of a
deliberate setup to try destroy the credibility of those who question the
authorities.
All of which is a pity, not least because Peter Power is a figure well worth
closer scrutiny -just not the kind of misplaced hype offered by Alex Jones.
Jones was careful to let Power off the hook in that article: "Mr. Power and
Visor Consultants need not have been 'in on the bombing' or anything of that
nature.."
Perhaps not, but Peter Power, MD of Visor Consultants is a gent who is well
worth a much closer look. He is the ultimate insider in the coyly-named Business
Continuity(BC) marketplace.
He was selected by the UK Government to write the Best Management Practice Guide
on Crisis & BC Planning & Risk Management, a hotly- trafficed download from the
DTI web site [pdf]. He also wrote the book on BC for the British Bankers
Association. He is all over the media and was a previous award winner for BC
'personality of the year'.
His firm's clients in London have included JP Morgan Chase, ING, Mellon, Lloyds
TSB, Morley Fund Management, Bank of New York, Arcadia Group, FCO and Universal
Music.
All of which is not surprising, as he has a senior Scotland Yard background
which included a stint at the Anti Terrorist Branch, and a deputy forward
control role at the Libyan People Bureau siege. He frequently speaks on TV &
radio, and is the darling of BBC news and talk shows.
Power surely still has close links with Anti Terror branch, and seems to operate
as a "good cop" for the establishment -in PR terms. Whenever there is a terror
incident, there is Peter on the BBC with a relaxed attitude; with a habitual,
understanding line about how "stretched" are the security services; and with a
reassuring tone which implies that all is jolly good, top-notch and well in
hand.
He even once described identity cards as redundant -sensibly arguing that
terrorists conceal their purpose, rather than their identity. All this
counterpoints nicely with the "bad cop" security propaganda put out by official
sources.
CURIOUS BLASTS
But some of those many appearances by Power stand out in the context of the
latest London Underground bombings.
One was the occasion of the rocket attack on the MI6 spy headquarters itself -in
central London at Vauxhall Cross, just before 2200 on 21 September, 2000. The
missile smashed an eighth floor window on the southern side of the building,
home to the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Although dissident Irish republicans were the prime suspects, no group ever
claimed responsibility.
Another was the curious bombing of the BBC just six months later on 5 March,
2001. About 15 pounds of high explosive left in a taxi abandoned outside BBC
Television Centre caused only minor damage. Attacks against the media are pretty
rare. The same dissident republicans were suspected.
After the MI6 rocket attack, as usual Power was quoted by the BBC. He described
the MI6 building as one of the most high profile in central London.
"If you wanted to make a name for yourself, get yourself back onto the front
pages, why not go for something that's high profile and minimal risk," he said.

I am still refining my critique of Shamir. It's really hard to do, because when
he actually seems to represent is a combination of born again Christianity and
Marxist-Leninism which is characteristically Russian and not really
comprehensible elsewhere. there is also this testimony from Maria Hussain, a
convert to Islam, which I think refers to him:
"... I found it ironic that the only Jew with whom I could openly discuss Israel
with was an Israeli. He had no sympathy whatsoever for my American friend's
complexities. He said there is no controversy about whether or not the Israelis
have committed genocide against the Palestinians. I questioned him extensively
about the psychology of Jewish denial. He advised me, "Maria, Jews are like
that. He does not wish to discuss his politics with a non-Jew. There is not much
one can do about it! Try and accept this reality." So I did, and felt much
better about it. A few days later, I received another message from the person I
thought was my one remaining Jewish friend. "I am now a Palestinian Christian!"
he proclaimed with elation. After years of feeling deeply disturbed by the
cruelty and hypocrisy of Jews in regards to Israel, my friend had finally gone
over to the Orthodox Christian Mother Church in Jerusalem and gotten himself
baptized. Despite his family's lifelong attempt to indoctrinate him into
Zionism, he rejected his "Chosen" ethnic status and did the one thing that Jews
find more offensive than anything else on earth: he accepted Jesus as his
savior. Now, he believed, through Christ, the barriers to legitimate citizenship
of the Holy Land had been removed.
I have to admit that I was deeply disappointed by his choice of Christianity
over Islam, despite my previous attempts to call thim to the way of the Last
Prophet. But perhaps he was not interested in being a world citizen. He longed
for a connection to this holy soil - he wanted to be Palestinian. And so he had
joined the oldest institution of the Palestinian folk culture. I think it must
be much easier for a Russian Israeli to be integrated into the Palestinian
Orthodox Christian community than into the Palestinian Muslim community, for
cultural reasons ... "

In 1902, Sombart's magnum opus, Der moderne Kapitalismus, appeared in six
volumes. This book coins the word "Capitalism" (which Marx had actually not
used!); it is a systematic history of economics and economic development through
the centuries and very much a work of the Historical School. Although later much
disparaged by neo-classical economists, and much criticized in specific points,
it is still today a standard work with important ramifications for, e.g., the
Annales school (Fernand Braudel).
The book has been translated into many languages, but not into English, as
Princeton University Press obtained and holds to the English copyright but
purposely withholds the book as its references money and wealth creation by the
'moneymasters' which does not fit into todays political correct picture.
