The Modern Court Jester

by  Bobby Garner
Aug 14, 2004

Of old, and aye of late, A King maintains
Within his court a Fool, a gleeman gay,
Who like with dance or jest lights up the day,
Or else with mordant wit of fault complains.
To be a Fool, a Fool must foolish seem,
Must prance an roll, only his bells to ring,
A radish chase, or ride upon his thing,
His bauble. Yet his smile holds subtle gleam.
The Fool will bide a long time with his Lord,
Be seen by all, regarded yet by none,
Hear all that’s said, by night or in the sun,
And then let fall a perfect jest or word.
That King seems wise whose Fool confounds his foes.
The Fool is wise who tells not all he knows.

The answer to the right question is far more satisfying to the truth seeker than a cynical reply to the wrong question, but it likely won't be as entertaining to others. So-called news reporters routinely ask the wrong questions, and consequently get the expected cynical response. If you have ever noticed this peculiar behavior, and wondered if this is a product of their training, you are one of the few who have the capacity to understand the implications and the real news that lies behind the "story". Otherwise, grab yourself a cold beer, and a bag of peanuts and prepare for some bone chilling entertainment when the evening news comes on.

The court Jester was an invention of the "bearer of news" to the king, the forerunners of today's modern news media, and their function is the same, though if you look more closely, the methods of delivery are also similar. The bearer of news often got into trouble when the news happened to be negative. The king demanded the news, but didn't want his kingdom to be disturbed, and frequently emphasized that point with the beheading of the "bearer of bad news". So, the court jester developed as an effective solution to that problem to the satisfaction of all concerned. Those who came for the news, got the news, while those who came to be entertained were indeed entertained. Why should it be otherwise? I suspect that most of what has been written about court jester's was penned by the entertainment crowd.

Nothing is new in the news, except for the method of delivery beginning with the printing press, then radio and moving pictures, then finally "on the scene" live television in living color. As these developments occurred, certain adjustments were required along the way. Other technological developments concurrent with television and the popular evening news reports, introduced time restraints and the infamous sound bites (a "pay-per-chew" event). I'm sure we have all heard reporters asking repeatedly over the years, "Why do you only give us sound bites?". Since the same question has already been answered numerous times, the media managers find absolutely no need to offer a different one, so they don't. They just keep repeating the well rehearsed, You see, we have so little time line. While some find this extremely frustrating, a few sagacious persons know very well that it is all part of the modern news media circus otherwise known as the Evening News.

The real answer lies behind another question, one that to the best of my knowledge, has never been asked. A better question may be, Why do you devote so little time to sound bites, and so much time to your own commentary?. An even better one would be, "If your news program is as popular as it is acclaimed to be, why don't you extend it to a full hour, or even two so we could hear what was actually said rather than what you say they said?". Those may not be the perfect questions, but they would have the effect of forcing a response which is not so well rehearsed as; Well you see, we have so little time and so much to say. Sound bites are the only choice we have.

They tell the truth, because they do have so little time, but it's by their own design. Likewise, they have so much to say that isn't news, but propaganda otherwise known as spin, again, by their own choice. They don't have to lie when we hold them to such a low standard. The fact which has not been forced into the open by more probing questions, is that if the format was changed so that sound bites would no longer have a roll, the shows would quickly lose their popularity. The managers know this, and anyone who wants to know, knows it. It's only the uninformed entertainment oriented masses who don't know, and truthfully, in fact don't want to know.

Anyone bashing the news media, but avoiding the really tough questions is either an asset of the media, or an unwitting complice, or both. Modern news media is a magician practicing his art of illusion in the court of public opinion, just as the original court jester reporting the news in the kings court. The news is there for those who have eyes to see, while for the rest, it's an illusory magician's deception. The real news lies in what they don't say and the questions they never ask.

Let the one having eyes see, and the one having ears hear, the news of the day is your own responsibility to discover and understand. Our world is changing rapidly, but the real news worthy events are not daily occurrences, and cannot be effectively covered in a day. The daily media news circus focused on the trivial, but ugly nit picking details doesn't want to disturb you with the larger picture, so they entertain you with the bloody gore. Our leaders settle easily into this arrangement, and actively promote it.

The news is available, and accessible to anyone who wants it. A few honest and independent researchers are working hard to tell you about it. Much of it can even be found on network television, and when you discover how and where to listen for it, you will be well informed. A well researched documentary is nearly always presented on at least two different levels, so that there will be something there for as wide an audience as possible. Through the clever use of rhetoric, duplicity, and many other long established, and well known communications techniques, everyone gets what they came for. If you came to be entertained, you will be well entertained. If you came to be informed, you will be well informed. If you find all this sounds far too difficult to bother with, or it's too boring, then you clearly belong to the entertainment group. If you find it interesting and rise to the challenge, then you are among those who want to know the real truth behind world events.

Our elite controllers, world leaders, oligarchs, and philanthropist, routinely use the established media channels to communicate their ambitions, plans, reports of progress, and needed changes. Even the secret proceedings of such groups as the Bilderbergs are disseminated in the clear (unencrypted) to their global networks in this way. You will most often find it in the late night news programs, or in documentaries, but it shows up in the evening news also. All media outlets are used in this way without the need for coercion or direct control, not to imply that there isn't any, simply by generating the media events. We don't need to be a "fly on the wall" in their conferences and board room meetings to know and understand the issues they discuss and agree upon there. That's true because as they all know that nothing really happens there. The action is all in the real world where we live and work every day.

To fully grasp the significance of how all this really works, we all need to understand something about the process of reverse engineering. This doesn't require that you have an engineering degree, or even a high school diploma. These things have all been way over rated. All you really need is a few basic answers to some very fundamental questions. If this sounds backwards to you, then welcome to the concept of reverse engineering. It simply means that you start with the end product and work backwards to the fundamental requirements (the specifications) necessary to turn it into a reality.

The court jester serves a useful function, in the service of governments. the concept of a free press was from the start, just another one of their clever illusions for mass entertainment.

Stay tuned for, What is Reverse Engineering?
