Communities of Sustainable Fools

"A fool once stumbled upon the truth, but getting up and dusting himself off, continued on as though nothing ever happened." - Unknown author, Quoted from early 1980's calendar
How often do we ignore the obvious because it's too disturbing for our comfort zone? Odds are, it's far more often than we are likely to admit. Politicians rarely live up to their promises. Nothing new here, but how do they keep getting elected? It's because they know and understand what Abraham Lincoln meant when he said "I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends". And you thought he was just teaching us how to be nice neighbors. When will we understand and admit that we have been lied to time and time again, and we continue to "believe that we can solve the problem by voting for the next "friendly" politician promising to root out the corruption in Washington? That simply is not the way it works, and we as a people have stumbled over this truth an embarrassing number of times, but like the fool we go on as usual to keep repeating the same error over and over again.
We ignore the obvious because one of those many lies that we have believed is that the majority should have it's way with us. After all, that is the main principle of democracy isn't it? Well yes, of course it is, but when did you start believing that even bigger lie that this country was founded upon the principles of democracy, huh? The founding fathers framed a constitution which demands that the Federal Government guarantee a republican form of Government (article 4, section 4). Maybe you believe that has some reference to the Republican party. When will you learn you simple ones? How much do you really know about your constitution beyond a few of the Bill of Rights, which by the way are being trampled into the dust right under your very nose, which is another truth that you stumble against every day. This stone has become so familiar to you that you barely notice it, that's why you keep running into it. Do you believe that the constitution applies to you? Perhaps that's another lie you believe, because for a fact, the constitution is a binding restraint against the Federal Government. It does not have any affect on you whatsoever! What does have a most profound affect on you and me, is the Federal transgressions against the principles of that document.
It is not my position to defend the Constitution of the United States. I agree with Lysander Spooner, a Nineteenth-Century lawyer, abolitionist, entrepreneur, legal theorist and political radical. He said, "But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain--that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it." He went on to say; "In either case, it is unfit to exist." I submit that the fault does not lie with the constitution, because no constitution could ever be written which would serve to protect the rights and liberties of a morally lazy and degenerate people. I'm speaking of those who refuse to know the truth which confronts them each day. Truth is not the elusive idealistic icon of perfection which is another lie you also believe, but is available to all who wish to recognize it. And recognition is the key, so your excuses for ignoring it are running on pretty thin ice. Where did all these lies come from, and why do you believe them without ever so much as a question?
Belief is the only product of deception, and there is no other source. Ignorance and belief are antonym's of knowledge and faith, exact opposites. An accurate definition of faith is one of those key bits of knowledge which has the capacity to free you from the cycle of belief which causes you to keep stumbling over the truth. No true definition of faith can violate the above stated truths. The Bible defines the word most accurately, as "the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld." - Hebrews 11: 1. This quality of faith has nothing to do with belief, but is based on solid evidence as the basis for accurate knowledge of the kind described in the second chapter of Proverbs. The quality of "assured expectation" is different from what you expect when you flip a light switch, because it is derived from ones knowledge of the nature of God and mans relationship to him, as being made in his image, which supplies the assurance, and it does not fail as a light switch is prone to do. The evident demonstration of realities is the only basis for faith. Hoping for something does not make it a basis for faith, because people hope for all manner of ridiculous things. There is another important and necessary ingredient, there must be evidence demonstrated in reality.
When you go up in an airplane, you hope to come down again safely. Your hope is an assured expectation because of the demonstration of realities. Therefore, you have faith. Among the realities which we know, or can know, are flight safety statistics not to mention gravity. We don't say we believe these things, because they are known, therefore we exercise faith when we board the plane. We believe only those things which we either do not or cannot know. For example, most people believe that the twin towers of the World Trade Center were attacked by members of al-Qaeda armed with nothing but box cutters. We cannot put faith in this story because there has been no evident demonstration of realities (the key missing ingredient) which would confirm it. This means that it cannot be known because it did not happen, therefore it can only be believed. The knowable and evidential facts all tell quite another story. "Until when will you love to be simple, you simple ones?" ...and... "fools hate knowledge?" - Proverbs 1:22
God gave the savior to the German people. We have faith, deep and unshakeable faith, that he was sent to us by God to save Germany. Hermann Goering, speaking of Hitler
A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side: Aristotle
Conservation has always been an idea that landowners thought about. When it became an official state program in the 1930's, most of them readily supported it, because they believed that the politicians who voted for it were their "friends" and were protecting their common interests. It was a lie, but they believed, which fits the definition of deception. Most of those people were farmers who were forced to give it up and seek other work, primarily due to pressures brought to bear by the many government programs to help them, but their friendly politicians had voted for these things so they still believed and placed the blame on unforeseen circumstances.
With the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, we are repeating that cycle of belief, because we continue to ignore the facts. The facts are, they never had any intention of stopping with just the family farm, they want it all, including our liberties, and they are fairly well getting it. Sustainable development, or "protection of the environment" is another great sounding label like conservation before it, but sustainable development can only be achieved by sustainable fools. They can't do it by themselves. Why do you think they want consensus before they act on anything? Sustainable development is not being shoved down our throats. It is being eagerly swallowed, bait, line and tackle, by fools who believe they are getting an unbeatable deal! How is that possible? Consensus achieved by smooth talk on the lubricated skids of easy (free) federal debt money otherwise known as grants and government backed loans.
The basis for consensus is shared beliefs. It's the common bond that bridges all differences. See: The President's Council on Sustainable Development We Believe Statement "There are certain beliefs that we as Council members share that underlie all of our agreements." These beliefs are being propagated in every community across America no matter how small. The program is Local Agenda 21, but you will never hear that term from it's supporters. It's forerunner was Agenda 21, a United Nations program. After years of failure, they finally realized the need to bring it to the local level so as to get local compliance through the process of consensus. At least the appearance of consensus which is really all they have or will ever need.
Henry Lamb, Executive Vice President, Environmental Conservation Organization, wrote several years ago on the cost and consequences of Agenda 21 Volumes have written by others, but we get sudden attacks of amnesia complicated by blindness when the programs are debated locally by and among "friends" and it isn't going to cost anybody anything, in fact it is going to pay off like a slot machine through easy money grants, loans, and attractive community improvement developments. The problem is that they are doing all this outside the constitutional government channels through back door operations such as Public Private Partnerships, and local governments acting collectively under cover of a corporate structure. In Kansas, much of the core structure which allows them to do what they do, comes from the League of Kansas Municipalities.
Established by municipal officials in 1910, the League of Kansas Municipalities is a voluntary, nonpartisan federation of over 500 Kansas cities. It operates as a public agency and is defined by state law as an instrumentality of its member cities. The powers and duties of the League are prescribed by state law and in bylaws adopted by the voting delegates of its member cities.
This like so many other things may initially have had some legitimacy, but it lends itself to abuse by elected officials who are acting on another agenda than what the people elected them for, which was simply to govern according to their oath of office. That is the fact of what is happening all across Kansas, and I'm sure if you check, it is happening in your state as well. When Kruschev said they (communism) would bury us, he may have been in a fit of rage, but he was not lying about their agenda.
Lamb foresaw this coming early on and wrote about it in the mid 1990's. Here are some of his comments:
Were this initiative to arise from the people who are governed, expressed through their elected officials, defined and debated in public, and decided through a public vote by the appropriate governmental bodies, then there could be no complaint. But neither the change in the decision process, nor the adoption of "protection of the environment" as society's central organizing principle, are initiatives that arise from the people who are governed. Both ideas arise from the international community, crafted into policy documents by the United Nations and presented to the world through United Nations Conferences, particularly the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.
Throughout Missouri and across America, communities, both rural and urban, are being transformed into "sustainable communities," through the implementation of public policies that originate in Agenda 21, and other UN documents, Americanized through the President's Council of non-elected officials, and brought to local communities through a coordinated program of "collaborative consensus building" facilitated by trained experts. - Henry Lamb, Sustainable Development 101
Local Agenda 21 is the vehicle which beings the global program to even the smallest communities. I would be at a lose to better describe the despicable conduct our elected officials are engaged in:
Implementing the policy of foreign nations within the United States of America, whether overtly or covertly, abetted by Citizens of The United States or public (government) persons for enumeration constitutes a grievous act of perfidy equivalent to selling a member of your family into perpetual slavery. With 50 % of the wealth of the world resident in the U.S.A., don't be surprised if the tyrants and bankers of the world are "interested and concerned" about you. With 100 % of the wealth of our nation residing in counties don't be surprised if our national and state governments and bankers are "concerned about your ownership." "Trust" them because the "help" offered to abate the "emergency" is a "gift" that is "granted," along with covert terms and conditions of forfeiture...
The supposed consensus is used as a bases for a formal plan - a roadmap to the future. Each community within the region is asked to sign on. The signing constitutes a legal contract... Election of a new city council and mayor does not alter the contract. This changes the relationship between the representatives and the people. - Elected and Paid Enemies
The US Constitution was once a shinning example to the world, and the envy of people of all nations. Indeed it defined the most liberal form of government the world has ever known. It was the dream of the founders that it would be emulated the world over, and in fact there was a time when that seemed quite possible, as nations adopted their own similar constitutions. It's hard to pinpoint exactly where we went wrong, but from an early time, and certainly no later than the Spanish American War, the Constitution, as a lawfully binding document to constrain the government ceased to exist. Instead it was turned into a tool of oppression, and overthrow of a free republic. It has essentially been kept on life support for the very purpose that makes this writing necessary, that you not be aware that there is anything wrong. When the Constitution is allowed to speak, it is to refrain we the people from some activity which our forefathers took for granted, or to enforce something against our will. It's use is for nothing less than lip service to keep us ignorant of the facts.
Spooner was correct, even in his time of the mid 19th century:
The principle, on which the war was waged by the North, was simply this: That men may rightfully be compelled to submit to, and support, a government that they do not want; and that resistance, on their part, makes them traitors and criminals.
No principle, that is possible to be named, can be more self-evidently false than this; or more self-evidently fatal to all political freedom. Yet it triumphed in the field, and is now assumed to be established. If it really be established, the number of slaves, instead of having been diminished by the war, has been greatly increased; for a man, thus subjected to a government that he does not want, is a slave. And there is no difference, in principle --- but only in degree --- between political and chattel slavery. The former, no less than the latter, denies a man's ownership of himself and the products of his labor; and [the latter] asserts that other men may own him, and dispose of him and his property, for their uses, and at their pleasure. - Introduction to "No Treason" , Lysander Spooner, 1867
